Kyle joined the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy, feeling a call to serve his community that he had felt since childhood.
2007
Promoted to Sergeant after just two years, overseeing and directing deputies, responding to serious incidents, reviewing reports, ensuring proper procedures, training and mentoring deputies, assisting with department operations, and taking command at major crime scenes when necessary.
Kyle graduates from the University of Southern Mississippi Southern Regional Public Safety Institute at Camp Shelby. A premier state law enforcement training institute designed to produce high quality law enforcement officers and leaders.
2009
Promoted to Lieutenant in a record three years, retained by the next administration and recognized for proven leadership. Oversaw sergeants and deputies, managed shifts and specialized operations, implemented the Sheriff’s policies, and assisted command staff with department operations and planning.

Recognized by the Gulfport Police Athletic League as the Mississippi Gulf Coast 2009 Officer of the Year for all 6 coastal counties.
