WHY KYLE?

"Experience matters. My years in the Sheriff’s Office have shown me what works, what doesn’t, and what it takes to lead. On day one, I’ll be ready to make the tough decisions for our county" -

Kyle is dedicated to serving the residents of Hancock County with honesty and integrity. With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, he has the knowledge and skills necessary to lead our Sheriff's Office effectively. Kyle believes in transparency and community engagement, creating a safer environment for our children and families. Together, we can improve public safety, support our schools, and uphold the values that matter most to us.
KYLE'S VISION FOR HANCOCK COUNTY
PUBLIC SAFETY
Ensuring the safety of our communities is my top priority. I will work diligently to reduce crime rates, collaborate with local organizations, and implement programs aimed at getting illegal firearms off our streets. It is essential that we create a safe environment for our families and friends.

I believe in a tough-on-crime approach, seeking maximum criminal penalties for ALL drug penalties & property crimes. Under a Malley administration, there will be zero tolerance for repeat offenders and an end to the catch and release of drug dealers.

We know who they are, and we will go after them.
THE YOUTH
Investing in our children is investing in our future. I am a firm believer that our children in the school system should know who their Sheriff is. As our next Sheriff, I will be active in our local schools and committed to collaborating with schools and community leaders to create programs that offer educational support and safe recreational activities. Throughout my life, I have always made it a goal to give the younger generation opportunities those my age never had.

Crime can be deterred if we connect with our youth at a young age. Together, we can empower our youth and help them reach their full potential.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
I believe in the importance of building strong relationships between law enforcement and the community. I will prioritize community outreach initiatives that foster open communication and trust. Engaging with schools, parents, and local organizations will be key in developing programs that support our youth and enhance community safety.
RURAL COMMUNITIES
For too long have our rural communities, from Pearlington to Necaise and in-between, felt forgotten. This neglect by the Sheriff's Office has allowed for drugs dealers to establish operations in the most rural parts of our county and operate unchecked. As your next Sheriff, patrols will be regular in each community of our county and the drug operations will come to an end.
THE DRUG EPIDIEMIC

We’ve all seen the impact of drugs in our community, on the news, on social media, and around our own kitchen tables. Hancock County’s location along the Interstate 10 corridor makes our communities a target for drug trafficking and criminal activity. For too long, our rural areas have suffered from ineffective leadership and a lack of proactive policing in the Narcotics Division.

As your Sheriff, combating drugs will not be treated as a Monday-through-Friday, 9-to-5 responsibility. Criminals do not stop working at 5 p.m., and neither should the fight against them. Under my administration, the Narcotics Division will operate with the urgency, commitment, and around-the-clock enforcement our community deserves.

During my years in the Sheriff’s Office, I have participated in and witnessed major narcotics operations that took dangerous drugs off our streets. Unfortunately, that level of enforcement and initiative is no longer being seen today. Under a Malley Administration, that will change.

A FOCUS ON REHABILITATION

Over the span of my career, I have seen people in all corners of our county who lacked the resources and opportunities needed to succeed and ended up on the wrong path. As your next Sheriff, I want to give back to our community by helping people turn their lives around and become productive members of society.

My vision for the Sheriff’s Office is one that is focused on rehabilitation, accountability, and second chances. Too many people leave jail without the resources or opportunities needed to succeed, creating a cycle of repeat offenses. Our jail should not be a revolving door. By providing inmates with the tools and support they need after serving their time, we can help reduce recidivism, strengthen families, and make our community safer.

I’ll be committed to expanding on the programs of my predecessors, including the Faith Based Inmate Education Program, the Alcohol & Drug Treatment Program, the Jail Ministry Services, and the Adult G.E.D. Classes. While also implementing new programs aimed to benefit members of the good behavior trusty program, such as vocational training programs and working closely with local mental health providers to offer counseling and therapy programs.

As your next Sheriff, I will build on the successes of those who came before me while maintaining a strong commitment to rehabilitation, accountability, and public safety for all communities in Hancock County.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT
With two decades of experience in managing a small business, I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility. I will ensure that the Sheriff's Office operates within budget while effectively serving the community's needs. My goal is to maximize resources and improve efficiency for better public service.

It is easy to make promises this election, but the truth is each Sheriff's Candidate will be confined to the already set budget until the end of 2027. Moving on from then, I will work directly with the Board of Supervisors to effectively appropriate funds to necessary improvements in the Sheriff's Office.
INTEGRITY, TRANSPARENCY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
As your Sheriff, I will uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all operations. I will keep the community informed and involved in decisions that affect public safety and law enforcement practices, ensuring that your voice is always heard.

You should not need to find out through a personal Facebook whether you are in danger, as your Sheriff I will be committed to making available any necessary information for the safety of our communities through official Sheriff Office channels.

In addition, as Sheriff I will prioritize an open door policy. My vision
for the Sheriff’s Office is one that is assessable to any citizen of Hancock County who is interested or concerned about its operations.

As your next Sheriff, our Deputies will be held accountable for their actions. Under my watch, our citizens will be treated with respect. My vision for the Sheriff's Office is one that is professional and accountable.
SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM
Hancock County lags behind surrounding counties and parishes that provide at least one School Resource Officer for each of their schools. This is an issue I hear about often when speaking with voters. Like many of you, I have family members in our school system who I care deeply about. The safety of our schools is personal to me.

As Sheriff, protecting our children and those who educate them will be a top priority from day one. I will work to ensure that every county school has at least one School Resource Officer. Our students, teachers, and parents deserve to know that law enforcement is present, prepared, and ready to respond when seconds matter.

Just as important, I will work closely with the Board of Supervisors, Hancock County School District, school administrators, and teachers to strengthen safety plans, improve communication, and make sure our schools have the resources they need to respond to emergencies. As Sheriff, I will work with my administration to secure available state grants and funding dedicated to improving school safety. Keeping our schools safe requires partnership, and the Sheriff’s Office must be an active partner with our school district.
