Friends and family, for the past 21 years I have had the honor of serving you, the people of Hancock County, in the Sheriff’s Office. I am fortunate to have made so many friends along the way in my two years as a Sergeant and 16 years as a Lieutenant. In my service, I have helped build a stronger Sheriff’s Office from within by working hand-in-hand with deputies who went on to become lieutenants, narcotics agents, investigators, and interdiction officers. During this same time, I have managed a successful business for 20 years and am the father of three children and six grandkids. I’ve also been proud to give back locally, serving for 10 years as President and coach of the Dedeaux Little League Association and working directly with our youth to help shape their future.
 

Hancock County is growing. As a life long resident, like many of you, I have seen this firsthand on the front lines. We’ve seen an influx of residents moving into our county from all across the state and region. Crime and drugs have become a growing issue throughout the county, and the neglect of mental health issues has become a leading cause of crime in our communities.
 

Folks, our county is growing. We need a Sheriff who shares our values. We need a Sheriff with the most experience. We need a sheriff we can TRUST.
 

This is what drove me to entering the race for Hancock County Sheriff in the upcoming special election. I have served in the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office longer than any other candidate in the race and have dedicated my entire law enforcement career to serving this county as a Sheriff’s Deputy. My top priority each day will be serving you as a Sheriff of the people.
 

I will prioritize an open-door policy, seek maximum criminal penalties for crimes, enforce zero-tolerance for repeat offenders, protect all of our communities from rural areas to cities, focus on our youth, and work to stop crime at a young age. Most importantly, I will maintain a professional and accountable law enforcement agency.
 

Hancock County, I humbly ask that you give me the opportunity to continue serving you as your Sheriff.
